Can ClassPass help you save money on sauna and cold plunge experiences in Metro Vancouver? I compared 10 wellness businesses, their ClassPass credit requirements, and regular booking prices to find out.

If you’ve been following my Spa & Travel adventures, you probably know how much I enjoy exploring saunas, cold plunges, and wellness experiences around Vancouver and beyond.
Most of the time, I book directly with a business and pay its regular drop-in price. But recently, I decided to try ClassPass, a platform I’d mostly associated with fitness classes.
I was surprised to discover that ClassPass also offers sauna sessions, infrared saunas, cold plunges, and private contrast therapy experiences.
Naturally, I wanted to investigate: Is ClassPass actually cheaper than booking directly?
I compared the prices of 10 sauna and wellness businesses available through ClassPass in Metro Vancouver and the surrounding region.
Here’s what I found.

What Is ClassPass and How Does It Work?
ClassPass is a monthly subscription platform that gives members access to participating fitness and wellness businesses through a credit system.
Instead of committing to one studio, you can use your credits at different participating locations.
Depending on the business, you might find:
- Yoga, Pilates, and fitness classes
- Traditional and infrared saunas
- Cold plunges and contrast therapy
- Recovery treatments
- Spa and beauty services
One feature I particularly like is the map view. You can search by location, explore participating businesses, and save interesting places for later.

Downtown Vancouver has a noticeable concentration of options, but I also found locations in Burnaby, North Vancouver, Langley, and beyond.
You can browse available experiences before choosing a paid plan, although booking options and credit prices depend on your account.
My Experience With the ClassPass Free Trial
I started with a free trial to explore activities outside my regular routine.
My trial allowed eligible first-time fitness visits without using credits. However, the sauna and spa experiences I wanted to try weren’t included in those free bookings.
During the trial, I explored different fitness activities, including aerial yoga and Pilates.
I also noticed that some guided wellness classes occasionally appeared for 0 credits on specific days and at certain times. For example, Tevah Wellness offered eligible first-time Guided: Active Mobility classes for 0 credits, although its sauna sessions still required credits.
I enjoyed being able to try something new without committing to a studio membership.
But since sauna experiences are my main interest, I wanted to see whether purchasing ClassPass credits would actually save me money.
How Much Does ClassPass Cost in Canada?
These were the monthly membership options displayed in my account in October 2026.
| Monthly credits | Price (CAD) | Approximate cost per credit |
|---|---|---|
| 8 | $20 | $2.50 |
| 24 | $59 | $2.46 |
| 38 | $89 | $2.34 |
| 59 | $129 | $2.19 |
| 82 | $169 | $2.06 |
| 146 | $299 | $2.05 |
For this comparison, I’m using the 38-credit membership for $89 per month.
That works out to approximately $2.34 per credit, assuming you use all 38 credits.
This is important because ClassPass credits don’t have a fixed dollar value. The effective cost depends on your membership and how many credits you actually use.
Credit requirements can also change depending on the date, time, availability, and promotions.
All prices below are in Canadian dollars, before applicable taxes and fees.
10 Sauna & Cold Plunge Businesses on ClassPass Near Vancouver
Here are the 10 businesses I found offering sauna or hot-and-cold wellness experiences through ClassPass.

| Business | Experience | ClassPass credits | Estimated ClassPass cost | Direct price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Happiness Spa | 30-min sauna | 5 promotional | $11.71 | $60 |
| Under The Rose Sauna Club | 90-min sauna & cold plunge | 8 | $18.74 | $37 |
| Ritual Urban Retreat | 90-min sauna & cold plunge | 8 | $18.74 | $38 |
| Tevah Wellness | 90-min Free Flow: Quiet | 6-9 | $14.05–$21.08 | $55 |
| SWEAT & SHIVER | 60-min private contrast therapy | From 10 | From $23.42 | $50 |
| AetherHaus | 90-min Advanced Aufguss | 11 | $25.76 | $49 |
| Tality Shipyards | 110-min community session | 11 | $25.76 | $47 |
| Pyramid of Wellness | 75-min Zen Drop-in | 13 | $30.45 | $40 |
| Float House | 60-min private sauna & cold plunge | From 20 | From $46.84 | $75 |
| Sea2Sky Wellness Club | 90-min private spa package | From 23 | From $53.87 | $120 for two |
Prices reflect listings reviewed in October 2026. Promotional credit requirements and availability may change. Direct prices and ClassPass bookings may have different guest policies or inclusions.
Float House also offers a separate 40-minute infrared sauna appointment through ClassPass, which I’ll compare below.
1. Happiness Spa — The Biggest Potential Discount
Happiness Spa had one of the most surprising offers I found.
A 30-minute sauna appointment was available for 5 ClassPass credits, discounted from the usual 13 credits, for a specific booking on October 15.
The app also displayed an option to purchase those five credits separately for $13.
The business’s website listed a 30-minute private far-infrared sauna experience for $60.
Price comparison:
- ClassPass: 5 credits, approximately $11.71 on the 38-credit plan
- Direct booking: $60
- Potential savings: approximately 80%
That’s a remarkable difference!
However, the ClassPass listing simply says “Sauna 30 minutes,” so I would confirm that it includes the same private infrared sauna service before booking.
My take: One of the most interesting promotional offers I discovered, provided the services match.
2. Under The Rose Sauna Club — 90-Minute Sauna & Cold Plunge
Under The Rose offers a 90-minute sauna and cold plunge experience.
- ClassPass: 8 credits, approximately $18.74
- Direct booking: $37
- Potential savings: approximately 49%
I love discovering dedicated sauna spaces, especially ones that focus on the sauna experience itself rather than treating it as an extra gym amenity.
My take: An attractive option for trying a new sauna club without paying the full drop-in price.
3. Ritual Urban Retreat — 90-Minute Sauna & Cold Plunge
Ritual Urban Retreat offers a 90-minute sauna and cold plunge session.
- ClassPass: 8 credits, approximately $18.74
- Direct sauna and cold plunge drop-in: $38
- Potential savings: approximately 51%
Ritual also offers other classes and wellness services, so it’s important to compare the correct booking category.
My take: A substantial potential saving on a full 90-minute contrast therapy session.
4. Tevah Wellness — Free Flow: Quiet
Tevah Wellness offers a variety of sauna and cold plunge experiences.
I found Tevah Wellness’s 90-minute Free Flow: Quiet session for 6–9 promotional credits on the same day, depending on the appointment time.
- ClassPass: 6–9 credits, approximately $14.05–$21.08
- Direct single drop-in: $55
- Potential savings: approximately 62–74%
For example, on October 14, the 10:00 AM session required just 6 credits, while the 9:30 AM session required 9 credits. These were first-visit promotional rates, so future bookings may cost more.
My take: Checking different appointment times can make a big difference, especially when trying a sauna for the first time.
5. SWEAT & SHIVER — Private Contrast Therapy
SWEAT & SHIVER offers a 60-minute private contrast therapy session.
- ClassPass: from 10 credits, approximately $23.42
- Direct booking: $50
- Potential savings: approximately 53% at the lowest displayed credit requirement
I like the idea of a private hot-and-cold session, especially for people who prefer a quieter wellness experience.
However, this location is farther from central Vancouver, so transportation is worth considering.
My take: Potentially good value, particularly if you’re already planning to be in the area.
6. AetherHaus — Advanced Aufguss
AetherHaus caught my attention because of its Advanced Aufguss experience.
Aufguss is a guided sauna ritual involving heat, steam, aromatic infusions, and towel movements that circulate hot air.
The 90-minute event appeared on ClassPass for 11 credits.
- ClassPass: approximately $25.76
- Direct event price found during research: $49
- Potential savings: approximately 47%
Since event pricing can vary, I’d compare the exact session and time before booking.
My take: One of the more interesting experiences on the list if you enjoy guided sauna rituals.
7. Tality Shipyards — Community Sauna & Cold Plunge
I’ve already visited Tality Shipyards, so this is one of the businesses on my list where I have firsthand experience.
The 110-minute Shipyards Community Session appeared on ClassPass for 11 credits.
- ClassPass: approximately $25.76
- Direct single session: $47
- Potential savings: approximately 45%
Tality also offers direct multi-session packages, so frequent visitors should compare those prices.
My take: ClassPass could be a good way to try Tality for the first time without purchasing a package.
8. Pyramid of Wellness — Zen Drop-in
Pyramid of Wellness offers a 75-minute Zen Drop-in session.
- ClassPass: 13 credits, approximately $30.45
- Direct single-session price: $40
- Potential savings: approximately 24%
The savings are smaller than at several other businesses in this comparison.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it shows why it’s worth checking the numbers rather than assuming every ClassPass appointment is heavily discounted.
My take: Worth considering if the location and experience appeal to you, but not the strongest discount on this list.
9. Float House — Private Sauna, Infrared Sauna & Cold Plunge
I’ve also visited Float House, which offers different private wellness experiences.
I found two options on ClassPass, and the pricing comparison is particularly interesting.
Option A: 60-Minute Private Cold Plunge & Sauna
- ClassPass: from 20 credits, approximately $46.84
- Direct booking: $75 for one 60-minute session
- Potential savings: approximately 38%
Float House also lists an option to add a guest for $25 when booking directly.
That could make direct booking more attractive for two people, depending on whether the ClassPass appointment permits a guest.
Option B: 40-Minute Private Infrared Sauna
- ClassPass: from 20 credits, approximately $46.84 for one appointment
- Direct booking: $75 for two 40-minute sauna sessions
- Effective direct price: $37.50 per session
This is where the comparison changes.
If you use both direct-booking sessions, booking through Float House costs approximately $9.34 less per visit than the lowest ClassPass price.
The direct two-session package also has a 12-month expiry.
My take: ClassPass may be worthwhile for the 60-minute contrast therapy experience, but the direct infrared sauna package offers better value per visit if you’ll use both sessions.
This is a perfect example of why ClassPass isn’t automatically the cheapest option.
10. Sea2Sky Wellness Club — 90-Minute Hot/Cold Therapy Spa Package
Sea2Sky Wellness Club offers a private 90-minute spa package combining infrared sauna and ice bath access.
The direct-booking package also includes:
- Cozy robes
- A selection of relaxing teas
- Chocolate
- A facial skincare treatment or face mask
- A private room designed for two people
Price comparison:
- ClassPass: from 23 credits, approximately $53.87
- Direct booking: $120 for two people, plus GST
At first glance, that looks like a potential saving of approximately 55%.
However, there’s an important difference to check: the direct price covers two people, while the ClassPass listing doesn’t clearly state whether the reservation includes one or two guests.
If ClassPass covers only one person, the two prices aren’t directly comparable.
My take: An interesting couples’ wellness option, but I’d confirm the guest policy and package inclusions before treating it as a discounted equivalent.
Which ClassPass Membership Would I Choose?
After comparing all these options, I wouldn’t automatically choose the largest plan.
For someone who enjoys exploring different saunas, a smaller monthly membership may be a better starting point.
For example, the 24-credit plan costs $59 per month.
Here’s a possible combination:
| Experience | Credits |
|---|---|
| Happiness Spa | 5 |
| Under The Rose Sauna Club | 8 |
| Tevah Wellness | 9 |
| Total | 22 credits |
The three direct-booking prices total $152.
If all three ClassPass appointments are available at those credit rates, the $59 membership could offer approximately $93 in savings before taxes and travel costs.
But remember, these are examples based on the listings I found. Promotional rates may disappear, and not every appointment will be available at the same credit price.
For me, the best membership is the one I can realistically use without feeling pressured to book unnecessary appointments.
What I Like About ClassPass for Wellness
Discovering new places. The map and Saved Places features make it easy to build a list of saunas and wellness businesses I’d like to explore.
Trying different experiences. I can use one platform for fitness classes, recovery appointments, and sauna visits.
Potentially lower drop-in costs. Some of the promotional sauna prices were significantly lower than booking directly.
No need for multiple studio memberships. This is particularly appealing when you enjoy variety rather than visiting the same place every week.
What I Don’t Like About ClassPass
Credit requirements can change. The number of credits needed for an appointment may depend on the date, time, or promotion.
Limited appointment availability. A business may offer fewer booking slots through ClassPass than through its own website.
Not all packages are equivalent. Direct bookings may include extra guests, longer sessions, or amenities that aren’t included in ClassPass reservations.
Unused credits reduce the value. If you don’t use your monthly allowance, the effective cost per visit increases.
Transportation matters. A discounted sauna isn’t necessarily a bargain if you have to spend a lot of money getting there.
Direct packages can be cheaper. Float House’s infrared sauna package is a good example.
Is ClassPass Worth It for Saunas in Vancouver?
For someone like me, who enjoys discovering new sauna and wellness experiences, ClassPass looks promising as a short-term way to explore different businesses.
Several listings showed potential savings of 40–60%, and a few promotional offers were even more attractive.
But I wouldn’t use ClassPass blindly.
Before booking, I’d compare the exact service, duration, guest policy, and direct-booking price. I’d also consider whether I can realistically use my monthly credits.
I see ClassPass as a discovery tool rather than a replacement for every direct sauna booking.
If I find a sauna I love and want to visit regularly, I’ll still compare its own memberships and multi-visit packages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you book saunas through ClassPass in Vancouver?
Yes. I found traditional sauna sessions, infrared sauna appointments, guided Aufguss experiences, and sauna-and-cold-plunge bookings in Metro Vancouver and nearby communities.
Are Sauna Sessions Included in the ClassPass Free Trial?
During my ClassPass free trial, I noticed that some fitness and guided wellness classes were available for 0 credits on certain days and at specific times.
For example, Tevah Wellness occasionally showed Guided: Active Mobility classes for 0 credits, while its 90-minute Free Flow: Quiet sauna sessions still required credits.
These free trial opportunities aren’t available every day, so it’s worth checking different dates and times to see what’s included. Trial eligibility and offers can vary.
How much does a sauna cost on ClassPass?
In my October 2026 research, sauna-related bookings ranged from promotional offers of 5 credits to private spa packages starting at 23 credits. The credit requirement can change by appointment.
Is ClassPass always cheaper than booking directly?
No. Some direct-booking packages offer better value, especially for repeat visits or couples. Float House’s two-session infrared sauna package is one example.
Do ClassPass credits roll over?
Yes. Most paid ClassPass memberships allow unused purchased credits to roll over, generally up to the number of credits in your next month’s plan. Free trial credits typically don’t roll over, and unused credits are forfeited when your membership ends. Always check the current rollover rules for your plan.
Final Thoughts
I love that ClassPass gives me another way to discover wellness experiences around Vancouver.
The biggest takeaway from my research is that ClassPass can offer excellent value for trying new saunas, but it’s worth doing the math before every booking.
Some experiences showed impressive potential savings, while others were cheaper when booked directly.
I’ll continue exploring the platform and sharing my own experiences as I visit more locations.
