In Canada, sauna is a familiar amenity at hotels, spas and gyms, but recently sauna has become a popular addition to private homes, and mobile saunas are popping up across the country. More and more people can rent a sauna and even have a mobile sauna delivered to their own backyard. Mobile Sauna is a great solution for anyone who’s looking for a way to bring the spa experience with them wherever they go – mountains of British Columbia, house by the lake or ocean side.
What is mobile sauna?
The sauna is positioned on a trailer and can be easily transitioned between locations to allow users to drive it almost anywhere they go to enjoy the benefits of use from their favorite locations. The mobile saunas on a trailer typically come with a wood burner. Mobile sauna could have a cylindrical shape with curved walls (barrel sauna) and sometimes a glass front or tempered glass door to take in the scenery.
Benefits of mobile sauna
- Mobile Sauna is a perfect experience gift for family and friends. If you are looking for an extraordinary experience to connect with family, friends and loved ones in a private setting, book it for your family fun, pool party, or a BBQ party with your friends. You will enjoy every minute you spend in the sauna.
- Upgrade your camping or vacation rental with Mobile Sauna – Turn any vacation rental into a vacation rental with a sauna by having a mobile sauna delivered to the site. This is an especially appealing perk for lakeside rentals where you can enjoy the full sauna experience followed by a dip in the lake.
- Bring a sauna to outdoor events – Having a sauna at the bottom of a ski hill or the end of a bike race is the ultimate way to unwind after a day outdoors, especially in cold weather. Or book mobile sauna as an add-on feature for your wedding venue, or wellness retreat.
- Try before you buy. Many business owners who provide mobile sauna rental also offer custom build saunas. Choosing the best sauna for you is easy once you’ve tried one out.
- Mobile saunas attract those who cannot build a permanent sauna because of building regulations. In many municipalities, if the sauna is considered a permanent structure, you will likely require a new building permit.

We had the Nomadic Sauna at our house on a rainy night and we could not have asked for a better way to beat the winter blahs. They bring a sauna to your house or the spot of your choice, along with firewood and all you need to relax in their portable cedar sauna. The service cannot be beat and they are incredibly easy to work with. This is a great way to get your friends together, enjoy some intense heat and get re-energized for whatever weather is coming up! I highly recommend this amazing service!

We rented a sauna for the week and it was even better than expected, the sauna was delivered and set up right at the house and provided the best après ski experience to be social and recover after a great day on the mountains. The whole experience coordinating (and even arranging to keep the sauna for an extra day) was so easy. The Finnish Sauna team checked in to make sure everything was going well.
If you have been thinking about hiring a sauna, don’t hesitate, make it happen as you will not be disappointed.
